South America is where myths, legends, and reality are divided by a thin line. Home to many ancient civilizations, South America is a treasure trove in history. Some of the most sophisticated, advanced civilizations called these lands their home thousands of years ago. Some of the most mysterious and mind-boggling ancient sites on the planet’s surface are located there. Bolivia and Peru, for example, are two of my favorite countries in South America. Home to sites such as Ollantaytambo, Tiahuanaco, Sacsayhuaman, and Puma Punku, among others, Bolivia and Peru have lots to offer.

In addition to these ancient megalithic sites, we find places such as Nazca in Peru. There, we have the world-famous Nazca lines and the not-so-famous Palpa lines. These symbols date back thousands of years, and their purpose and meaning are still debated among experts. Aramu Muru is another megalithic site shrouded in mystery. Located not far from Lake Titicaca, this ancient site is referred to by many as the gate of the gods. Its exact purpose is an enigma, although mainstream scholars suggest it is an abandoned Inca project. The truth behind it remains shrouded in mystery, as there are no writings from the time it was carved that can tell us more about it. This video offers you the opportunity to explore some of these sites from a drone’s perspective. Enjoy!
